Dr Irma Becerra, the 7th President of Marymount University (MU), Arlington, Virginia was inaugurated on 28th March, 2019. The installation ceremony, invocated by Most Reverend Michael F. Burbridge, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington was attended by over hundred overseas delegates. Hungary’s representation was led by HE Dr László Szabó, Ambassador of Hungary of the United States of America, Dr Ivonn Szeverényi, Dr Károly (Charles) Jókay, the Executive Director at US-Hungary Fulbright Commission, Dr Eszter Lukács, the Vice-Rector of Educational Affairs of Széchenyi István University (SZE), Győr, Hungary, Dr László Komlósi, Rector’s Envoy for International Co-operations as well as Mr Attila Makai, CEO of Nexcon, Hungary.
On 29th March, 2019 Dr Irma Becerra and Dr Eszter Lukács entered into Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on behalf of Marymount University and Széchenyi István University, respectively. The agreement covers research collaboration, student and faculty exchange. The event was facilitated by Dr Edward H. Bershoff, Chairman of the Marymount University Board of Trustees, Dr Joseph Foster, Vice-President of MU, Mr István (Stefan) Fedor, Trustee of MU, Dr Ivonn Szeverényi, Embassy of Hungary, Dr Károly (Charles) Jókay, the Executive Director at US-Hungary Fulbright Commission, Dr László Komlósi, Rector’s Envoy for International Co-operations, SZE, and Mr Attila Makai, CEO of Nexcon, Hungary.
